Brokerage fees
When making a transaction, the participant must pay the brokerage fees.
Regardless of the overall value of the transaction, the brokerage fees applicable to the
transactions carried out in a Bourstad simulations are fixed at 15 CAD (15 Canadian $) per
transaction. However, there are no brokerage fees for transactions on these types of
securities:
- currencies
- money market exchange traded funds
- actively managed investment funds
When planning a buy order, the participant must add the amount of brokerage fees to the gross amount of the transaction. An identical amount must be deducted in the case of a sale.
